This is how much Lionel Messi earns every second he breathes

Messi is the most vital parts of his club and his wages only justifies his importance. According to his latest contract, Messi earns a whopping €380,000 a week.
Lionel Messi’s annual salary is more than what you’ll ever make in your life.

Barcelona were very quick to offer Messi a new contract after Brazilian superstar Neymar went to PSG for a staggering €180m. This puts Messi way ahead of his Portuguese and Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who, according to his current contract earns €246,800.

Now since there are too many numbers to process here, let’s actually put Messi’s wages into context. Messi’s €380,000 a week salary would mean that he will be earning €54,521 a day, that is €2,272 an hour, €38 a minute and just over €0.6 a second! So this basically means that Lionel Messi wakes up every day knowing that he is going to earn at least €50,482 give or take.

Now how does this number compare to regular things you might want to buy? According to whatfootballersearn.com, Let’s say Lionel Messi wants to get away from the hassles of the city and want to chill with his family somewhere, he can buy himself a private island within 15 hours.

What about a new car, Lionel Messi? Ever thought of changing your car? He could get an all-new Audi R8 within 40 hours. While you still can’t get around the figures and maybe want to open your phone’s calculator to do the math, Messi can buy you a brand new iPhone X within 33 minutes. Now if none of this makes sense, it is okay.

Because by the time you have read this, Lionel Messi would have earned €74.
