Leah Sharibu is alive – Presidency
The Presidency on Saturday assured Nigerians that Leah Sharibu, the government girls secondary school, Dapchi, who was kidnapped by Boko Haram in February 2018, is alive.
It also stated it has not stop working hard to get her release.
Senior special Assistant to the President on Media and publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, told newshounds in Abuja that the Buhari administration will not surrender on Leah’s safe return.
‘‘Instead of giving up, the government is carrying forward processes that should hopefully yield her release by her captors,” Shehu said against the background of fresh concern over her safety.

according to him, “lines of communications is still open with the abductors, ISWAP.
‘‘contrary to false views, she is alive given assurances from our security groups, and the authorities is committed to her safe return, and also all other hostages back to their families in good shape.
‘Kidnapping for ransom is rising across the Sahel. We should collectively make certain development to prevent its exploitation, he added.
Appealing for patience in dealing with the challenge the case poses, the Presidential spokesman assured that the administration is absolutely aware that any misstep on a delicate issue like this will be costly.
